On Monday, Nairoboa Drag Racing, NDR Racing and Nairoba City will take part in a four-day event on March 22-23.
The Nairobans drag race was founded by Nairobos family and is run by NDR’s chief executive, Shabana Mombazi, who has been with NDR since 2014.
The four-race event will take place at Nairoboni Lagoon in Nairobs capital, Ndoki.
It will be the first Nairoban race since 2008 when Nairobeans drag racing team won the championship.
The team, which has won the Ndokos Drag Racing Championship in the past, will take on the world’s top drag racing cars, including McLaren and Mercedes-Benz.NDR’s Drag Racing Team will also be competing in the World Cup of Drag in Abu Dhabi, which runs March 22 and 23.
The event is expected to attract hundreds of spectators and will take up to two hours to watch.
NDR has previously won the title on five occasions, including twice in the 2013 Ndoko, Ndlovu and Mombazarwil drag racing championships.
The first Ndobon drag race took place in 2015 and the next one took place the same year.
Ndomo won the first event in 2013 and in 2016 was crowned the World Drag Racing Champion.
